Vacation...FINALLY!

Mommy and daddy and I went on vacation to the Outerbanks in North Carolina. I was very good on the plane ride. There weren't very many people on our flight so I got to sit in my own chair. Eventually the novelty wore off so I decided to take a little nap. When I woke up we were there.

Our first day on vacation was very warm. Mommy had not prepared for it to be so warm for me so I kept having to take off layers and layers. Here I am with my friend Cuin. He was just sitting at the top of the slide taking his sweet time. I really shouldn't fault him, I only started going down the slide by myself recently but I still don't like to wait. Daddy asked me to be patient but sometimes that is hard for me. I like to slide.

I don't know what the heck this is.

Mommy and Cinnamon took Carissa and Hannah and me to an Easter Egg hunt. It was fun. A woman blew a whistle and we all went out into a field and collected eggs. I liked to take my time collecting them. When we were done we opened them. I found a fun little rubber bouncy ball. It was bouncy and tasted kind of good, but then mommy took it away. After the egg hunt I had my first sandwich ever. It was a turkey sandwich and quite delicious. After our picnic lunch we played on a big slide then we went to go get ice cream. It was a great day!

On the way home we were all tired.

Here we are at the Bodie (pronounced "body") Lighthouse. I saw several puppies there. I like puppies!

I got a fantastic Easter Basket that was an umbrella turned upside down and it had lots of goodies in it including candy, chocolate milk, bubbles, stickers, etc. I also got this great kite that daddy and I took down to the beach to fly. Do you know that they let people drive cars on the beach? It seems odd.

Apparently my mommy has lost her mind. She took my socks and shoes off and wanted me to put my delicate feet into cold sand. I was not having it. Some of us are very sensitive!

In honor of Easter, I am wearing Cuin's bunny ears. Despite my not very happy look, I had a great time!

Hopefully on my next vacation my mommy doesn't forget her camera. If she does forget her camera, hopefully she has a good friend or grandma to lend her one. That mommy is so forgetful sometimes!
