Construction zone

You may have noticed that my blog is looking a little different. We're going to try out the birdies for a little while and see how it goes. Let me know your thoughts.

Well folks, it's construction time again. My job, of course, is to supervise. I do help out on occasion by double checking measurements or taking away tools that I think are unnecessary. I usually just drive around to the sites and make sure all is well. If you look behind me you will see a line of shrubs that are now a sitting wall.

We used to have a nice deck that was red. Daddy, Grandma, and Grandpa took it apart. There were lots of ants living in there. I like ants. If they need a new home they can come stay with me, although mommy is not such a fan. She usually chases them down and picks them up with a tissue.

Sometimes I supervise from the door. I get so confused that now when we leave we exit the front door instead of the back door. I can't wait for our deck to be put back together.

Here is an example of me double checking grandpa's measurements. "Measure twice, cut once", that's what I always say.

Let me see that tape measure, I'm not sure it is needed anymore.

That lazy Speedy doesn't do anything. He just sits around. Occasionally he runs to visit the neighbors or barks at the other puppies next door. Mostly though he does nothing.

Here I am on the run again. A girl's work is never finished.

Apparently there must have been a buried treasure under our deck because daddy brought home this big hammer that made tons of noise. I don't think he found the treasure though, unless you consider the rocks and pieces of concrete a prize. All I know is I was trying to take a little snooze and had a tough time.

Sometimes I get Grandpa Dean to take me for drives in my car. Do you like my new mustache? I wanted to keep it but mommy washed it away.

More construction updates in the next blog.
